About Us

The Town of Chazy was created in 1804. Chazy consists of three hamlets: Chazy, West Chazy, and Sciota. We are a small rural community located only six miles from the Canadian Border in Upstate New York. We are only twenty minutes North of Plattsburgh, one hour south of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and one hour west of Burlington, Vermont. We are largely an agricultural community and are fortunate to be nestled closely to beautiful Lake Champlain.
